Pool Renovations
Vinyl Liner Replacement Wellington County
A new liner transforms the look and feel of your pool in a single season. Hundreds of patterns and colours available.
What We Do
A worn liner doesn't mean a new pool. It means a new liner.
We've been replacing vinyl liners across Guelph, Fergus, Elora, Rockwood, and Wellington County since 2006. A liner replacement is one of the most cost-effective renovations you can do. It refreshes the entire look of your pool, eliminates leaks caused by liner failure, and extends the useful life of the pool by another decade or more.
We source our liners from Dey's using Kafko brand Canadian-made liners built for Ontario's climate. Hundreds of patterns and colours available. Fixed quote before work begins. Most replacements are completed in a single season.

Why Replace Your Liner
A new liner is the fastest way to transform a tired pool.
Most vinyl liners last 10 to 15 years. When a liner starts to fade, wrinkle, tear, or lose its seal at the fittings, it affects both the appearance and the water chemistry of your pool. A liner that is leaking slowly is costing you money every week in water and chemicals.
Replacing the liner gives you a watertight, fresh-looking pool without the cost or disruption of a full renovation. It is also an opportunity to update the look entirely. The pattern and colour you choose changes the whole feel of the water.

Vinyl Liner Replacement FAQ
Your vinyl liner replacement questions, answered.
How long does a vinyl liner replacement take?
A vinyl liner replacement typically takes one to two days from draining to refill. The pool is drained, the old liner is removed, the pool floor and walls are inspected and repaired if needed, and the new liner is set and sealed. Water balancing adds another day before the pool is swim-ready. Pristine Pools provides a confirmed timeline before work begins.
How do I know when my vinyl liner needs to be replaced?
Common signs that a vinyl liner needs replacing include visible fading or discolouration, wrinkling or lifting along the walls or floor, tears or punctures that cannot be patched, water loss that suggests a liner leak, and fittings that no longer seal properly. Most liners last 10 to 15 years. If your liner is approaching that age and showing any of these signs, replacement is likely the most cost-effective option.
What liner patterns and colours are available?
Pristine Pools sources liners from Dey's using Kafko brand Canadian-made liners. Hundreds of patterns and colours are available including solid colours, tile prints, marble effects, and water-inspired designs. Darker liners create a dramatic effect and make the water appear deeper. Lighter liners produce a classic bright blue appearance. We walk you through the options at the assessment visit.
Can a vinyl liner be repaired instead of replaced?
Small tears and punctures in a vinyl liner can often be repaired with a patch kit without draining the pool. However, repairs are a temporary fix. If the liner is old, faded, or has multiple failure points, replacement is the more cost-effective long term solution. Pristine Pools will assess the condition of your liner and give you an honest recommendation on whether repair or replacement makes more sense.
Does the pool need to be fully drained for a liner replacement?
Yes. A vinyl liner replacement requires the pool to be fully drained. The old liner is removed, the pool floor and walls are inspected for damage, any necessary repairs are made to the structure, and the new liner is then set and sealed. The process typically takes one to two days. Pristine Pools handles the full drain, replacement, and refill as part of the service.
How long will a new vinyl liner last in Ontario?
A new vinyl liner installed in Ontario typically lasts 10 to 15 years with proper care. Key factors that affect liner lifespan include maintaining balanced water chemistry, protecting the liner from sharp objects, and ensuring the pool is properly winterized each fall. Pristine Pools uses Kafko brand Canadian-made liners from Dey's, which are engineered specifically for Ontario's freeze-thaw climate.
What happens to the pool structure when the liner is replaced?
When a liner is replaced, Pristine Pools inspects the pool floor, walls, and fittings before the new liner is installed. Any damage to the pool structure, including cracks, settling, or deteriorating foam cove, is repaired at this stage. Replacing the liner is also a good opportunity to upgrade fittings, returns, and skimmer components if they are aging or showing wear.
