Pool Maintenance
Weekly Pool Maintenance Wellington County
Regular cleaning, water testing, and chemical balancing so your pool is always ready when you are.
What We Do
Your pool should be ready every time you walk out the door.
We've been maintaining pools across Guelph, Fergus, Elora, Rockwood, Acton, and Wellington County since 2006. Weekly maintenance is the simplest way to protect your investment and enjoy your pool without thinking about chemistry, cleaning, or equipment. We show up, do the work, and leave the pool ready to use.
We maintain pools we installed and pools we didn't. If you are looking for a reliable crew to take over your weekly service, we are taking on new clients across Wellington County.

What's Included
Everything your pool needs every week to stay clean and balanced.
Our weekly maintenance service covers skimming the surface, brushing the walls and floor, emptying skimmer and pump baskets, vacuuming the pool floor, testing and balancing water chemistry, inspecting equipment for issues, and a brief condition report left after every visit.
If we find something that needs attention during a visit we flag it immediately. Small problems caught early are almost always cheaper to fix than the same problem left for a month.
How It Works
Simple, reliable, and the same crew every week.
Step 01
Get in Touch
Tell us about your pool and what you need. We'll confirm availability in your area and set up a first visit to assess the pool's current condition.
Step 02
First Visit
We assess the pool, note the equipment setup, establish a baseline water chemistry reading, and complete the first full clean. We flag anything that needs attention before regular service begins.
Step 03
Weekly Visits
Same crew, same day each week. We clean, test, balance, and inspect. A brief condition report is left after every visit so you always know the state of your pool.
Step 04
Seasonal Handoff
At the end of the season we transition directly into your pool closing. No separate booking needed. We already know your pool and your equipment.

Weekly Pool Maintenance FAQ
Your weekly maintenance questions, answered.
What does weekly pool maintenance include?
Weekly pool maintenance typically includes skimming the surface, brushing the walls and floor, emptying skimmer and pump baskets, vacuuming the pool floor, testing and balancing water chemistry, and a brief equipment inspection. Pristine Pools also leaves a condition report after every visit so you always know the current state of your pool and any issues flagged during the visit.
How often does an inground pool need to be maintained?
Most inground pools in Ontario benefit from weekly maintenance during the swim season, typically May through September. Pools that are used heavily, located near trees, or have high bather loads may benefit from more frequent visits. Without regular maintenance, water chemistry can fall out of balance quickly in warm weather, leading to algae growth, equipment strain, and higher chemical costs to correct.
Can you maintain a pool that Pristine Pools did not install?
Yes. Pristine Pools maintains pools across Wellington County regardless of who installed them. If you are switching pool service companies, provide us with your equipment model numbers and any known service history when booking. We assess the pool and equipment condition on the first visit and advise on anything that needs attention before regular service begins.
Do I need to be home during weekly pool maintenance visits?
You do not need to be home for weekly maintenance visits provided we have access to the pool and equipment. Many clients leave a gate code or key for access. We complete the full maintenance visit, leave a condition report, and flag anything that needs your attention. If we find an issue that requires your input before proceeding, we will contact you directly.
What chemicals are used during weekly pool maintenance?
Weekly pool maintenance typically involves testing and adjusting chlorine or salt levels, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, and stabilizer. The specific chemicals used depend on the test results at each visit. Pristine Pools brings all necessary chemicals to every visit. Chemical costs are included in the weekly service rate. We use professional grade products and dose accurately to avoid over-treating the water.
How do I know if my pool needs more than weekly maintenance?
Signs that a pool needs more than standard weekly maintenance include persistent algae growth, cloudy water that does not clear within 24 to 48 hours of treatment, recurring chemical imbalances, unusual water loss, or equipment that is not performing correctly. Pristine Pools flags these issues during regular visits and can increase service frequency or schedule a diagnostic visit to identify the underlying cause.
Does Pristine Pools offer pool opening and closing as part of a maintenance package?
Yes. Pristine Pools offers seasonal opening and closing services that integrate directly with weekly maintenance. Clients on a weekly maintenance schedule receive priority booking for spring openings and fall closings. At the end of the season, the transition from weekly maintenance to pool closing is seamless since we already know your equipment, your water chemistry history, and your pool.
