New Pool Installations
Fiberglass Pool Installation Wellington County
Low maintenance, fast to install, and built to handle Ontario's freeze-thaw seasons. A smart choice for most backyards.
What We Do
A fiberglass pool is the fastest path from signed contract to first swim.
We've been installing fiberglass pools across Guelph, Fergus, Rockwood, Acton, and Wellington County since 2006. The shell arrives pre-formed, drops into the excavation, and connects to your plumbing and electrical in a fraction of the time it takes to build a concrete pool.
Available in dozens of shapes, sizes, and colours. Fixed quote before contracts are signed. Same crew from excavation to first swim.

Why Fiberglass
Less maintenance. Faster install. Built for Ontario winters.
Fiberglass pools have a non-porous surface that resists algae, requires fewer chemicals, and is gentler on skin and swimwear than concrete. The gelcoat finish holds up exceptionally well through Ontario's freeze-thaw cycles, meaning less cracking and fewer repairs over the life of the pool.
The tradeoff is shape flexibility. Fiberglass pools come in manufacturer shapes and sizes. If you need a fully custom shape or an unusually large pool, vinyl liner or concrete may be the better fit. We'll tell you honestly at the site visit.

Fiberglass Pool Installation FAQ
Your fiberglass pool installation questions, answered.
How long does a fiberglass pool installation take in Ontario?
A fiberglass pool installation in Ontario typically takes 6 to 8 weeks from excavation to first swim. Because the shell arrives pre-formed, installation is significantly faster than concrete. Weather and permit timing can affect the schedule. Pristine Pools provides a confirmed timeline before contracts are signed.
How long does a fiberglass pool last in Ontario?
A properly installed fiberglass pool in Ontario can last 25 to 30 years or more with regular maintenance. The gelcoat surface is highly durable and handles freeze-thaw cycles well. Unlike vinyl liner pools, fiberglass does not require periodic liner replacement, which reduces long term maintenance costs significantly.
Are fiberglass pools more expensive than vinyl liner pools?
Fiberglass pools typically have a higher upfront cost than vinyl liner pools but lower long term maintenance costs. Vinyl liner pools require liner replacement every 10 to 15 years. Fiberglass does not. Over a 20 year ownership period the total cost of the two options is often comparable. Pristine Pools will walk you through both at the site visit.
What shapes and sizes are available in fiberglass pools?
Fiberglass pools are available in a wide range of manufacturer shapes and sizes, including rectangles, ovals, freeforms, and kidney shapes. Integrated features such as tanning ledges, bench seating, and steps are built into the shell. Custom shapes are not possible with fiberglass. If a fully custom shape is required, vinyl liner or concrete is the better option.
Do fiberglass pools work well in Ontario's climate?
Yes. Fiberglass is one of the best pool materials for Ontario's freeze-thaw climate. The shell is flexible enough to handle ground movement during seasonal temperature changes without cracking. The non-porous gelcoat surface also requires fewer chemicals in cold water conditions, which is an advantage during shoulder seasons in spring and fall.
Can a fiberglass pool be installed in any backyard in Wellington County?
Most backyards in Wellington County and the Guelph region can accommodate a fiberglass pool provided there is adequate access for the crane or equipment needed to lower the shell into the excavation. Narrow lots, fenced yards, or properties with limited side access may have restrictions. Pristine Pools assesses access and soil conditions at the site visit before recommending a pool type.
What maintenance does a fiberglass pool require?
Fiberglass pools require less maintenance than concrete or vinyl liner pools. Weekly tasks include checking and adjusting water chemistry, skimming debris, and running the filtration system. Annual tasks include a professional spring opening and fall closing. The gelcoat surface resists algae growth, which reduces the frequency and cost of chemical treatments compared to concrete pools.
