Pool Repairs
Pool Plumbing Repair Wellington County
Cracked lines, failed fittings, and circulation problems. We diagnose the system and repair it properly, not temporarily.
What We Do
Pool plumbing problems don't improve on their own. We find them and fix them properly.
We've been repairing pool plumbing across Guelph, Fergus, Elora, Rockwood, Acton, and Wellington County since 2006. Cracked lines, failed fittings, air leaks, and circulation problems are all diagnosable and fixable. We pressure test the system, identify the fault accurately, and repair it to last, not just to get through the season.
We repair plumbing on pools we installed and pools we didn't. Fixed quote before any work begins. No repeat diagnosis fees.

What We Repair
If water is going where it shouldn't, we find it and fix it.
We repair cracked and broken underground plumbing lines, failed unions and fittings, air leaks causing pump cavitation, return jet and skimmer plumbing failures, main drain line issues, and circulation problems caused by blockages or failed components. We also replace aging PVC plumbing that has become brittle or is showing signs of failure before it becomes a larger problem.
We pressure test the full system before and after every repair to confirm the fix is complete. We don't patch problems temporarily and come back next season.
How It Works
From first call to fully repaired plumbing. Here's what to expect.
Step 01
Call Us
Tell us what your pool is doing. Poor circulation, air in the lines, water loss, or a fitting that has failed. We ask a few questions and book the diagnostic visit.
Step 02
Diagnosis
We pressure test the plumbing system, isolate the fault, and identify the exact source of the problem before recommending any repair.
Step 03
Fixed Quote
You get a clear explanation of the problem and a fixed price for the repair before any work begins. No surprises. No unnecessary work recommended.
Step 04
Repair
We repair the plumbing properly and pressure test the full system after completion to confirm the fix is complete. We don't leave until the pool is circulating correctly.

Pool Plumbing Repair FAQ
Your pool plumbing repair questions, answered.
How do I know if my pool has a plumbing problem?
Common signs of a pool plumbing problem include air bubbles returning through the jets, the pump losing prime or running dry, reduced water flow or poor circulation, water loss that suggests an underground line leak, visible cracks or weeping at fittings or unions, and unusual sounds from the pump caused by air entering the suction side. Any of these symptoms should be diagnosed promptly before the problem worsens or causes equipment damage.
Can pool plumbing be repaired without excavation?
Many pool plumbing repairs do not require excavation. Fittings, unions, valves, and above-ground plumbing sections can be repaired or replaced with minimal disruption. Underground line repairs where the pipe has cracked or separated beneath the deck or yard do require targeted excavation to access the damaged section. Pristine Pools isolates the fault accurately before any digging begins to minimize the excavation area and avoid unnecessary disruption to your yard or deck.
How long does a pool plumbing repair take?
Above-ground plumbing repairs such as fitting replacements, union repairs, and valve replacements are typically completed in a single visit of 2 to 4 hours. Underground line repairs requiring excavation take longer depending on the depth and location of the damaged section and the extent of the repair. Pristine Pools provides a timeline estimate after diagnosis and before any work begins.
What causes pool plumbing lines to crack or fail?
Pool plumbing lines most commonly fail due to ground movement from Ontario's freeze-thaw cycles, improper winterization that leaves water in the lines, age and UV degradation of above-ground PVC, physical impact or pressure on buried lines during landscaping or construction, and corrosion of older metal fittings. Pools that were not properly closed in fall are particularly vulnerable to plumbing damage from water freezing and expanding inside the lines.
Can air in my pool lines cause equipment damage?
Yes. Air entering the suction side of the plumbing system causes the pump to cavitate, which means it is spinning without moving water effectively. Sustained cavitation damages the pump impeller and seal, reduces filtration efficiency, and can cause the pump to overheat. If you are seeing air bubbles returning through the jets or the pump is losing prime repeatedly, the suction side plumbing should be inspected and repaired promptly to prevent equipment damage.
How do you find an underground pool plumbing leak?
Pristine Pools uses pressure testing to locate underground plumbing leaks. Each plumbing line is isolated and pressurized. Lines that fail to hold pressure indicate a breach. The pressure drop rate and the pattern of water loss on the surface help pinpoint the location of the damaged section before any excavation begins. This approach minimizes the area of digging required and confirms the exact location of the problem before we recommend opening the deck or yard.
Do you repair pool leaks that you did not detect?
Yes. Pristine Pools diagnoses and repairs pool plumbing across Wellington County regardless of who installed the pool. If you have existing plumbing diagrams or know the layout of your underground lines, share that information when booking. For pools with unknown plumbing configurations we perform a full system assessment before beginning any repair work to understand the layout and identify all potential fault points.
